well here is some inspiration for you.
This gorgeous mother of 2 Lucy Brice, has not only just gone and signed up for the London Marathon. Seriously i do not know where she has got this energy from - 1 baby is hard enough let alone 2!! Being a working mum is hard enough, but THE MARATHON!!!! So if you think you are too tired to get those running shoes on, think again. If Lucy hasnt got a excuse neither have you!!! No pressure though, i am still keeping my butt nice and cosy right on this sofa infront of Eastenders. But hopefully through reading her marathon training journey HERE i will get the motivation to let all those lil endorphins run riot!!
A bit about Lucy
In 14 weeks and 3 days I am going to run 26 miles. Within that time i’m going to have to squeeze in 4 runs a week, running on average 25 miles a week. Thats ALOT of miles. Let me do the number crunching for you. Take those 25 miles multiply them by 14, equals 350 miles. Er what? 350 MILES. I feel a little weak at the knees. 350 miles before the actual 26miles on the 22nd April!
I will be running for my charity The Sussex Beacon a care centre for men and women with HIV/AIDS related illnesses. They need to raise £150,000 urgently to keep their inpatient unit open. To find out more about their tireless work check them out.
This blog has a very important job to do – not only will it help me raise money for The Sussex Beacon but it will be my motivation to succeed. I will document my trials, tears and triumphs. OH and did I mention I have 2 small people in my life too? Rufus and Hudson, 2 years and 4 months respectively. I will also prove that you can achieve crazy goals like ‘running a marathon’ with 2 babies. I am mummy hear me roar.
