The Priory Farm in Nutfield, Surrey is my local ‘go to’ spot when I want to get my two and a half year old out of the house for a good few hours of running, shouting, banging, whizzing, rolling and running about in the fresh air. I have been coming here for a couple of years now and it never fails me. When I first started taking notice of the MM events I couldn’t help but think the farm might be an interesting addition/contrast to the MM calender and so I emailed Jenny and she suggested that I arrange a day out in Surrey - I jumped at the chance.

When I first booked in the MM to the Priory Farm, Surrey back in March the weather was still deciding if it was deepest winter or in actual fact spring! However by the time the big day arrived the painted toe nails were out at last. We got real lucky and the sun did a hell of a lot of shining - enough that when more and more of the MM group started turning up to the farm café it was a bit of a trick to pull everyone off the lawn from the impromptu picnic area that had been set up in between the sandpit and the see-saw ducks!

We did all eventually take a small stroll over to the Discovery Walk that overlooks the farmland – I don’t think the guinea fowl have ever come across so many little nippers come running after them! In between walking to the different play areas on the walk all the mums had a chance to chat to each other and see our babies get involved with having fun/causing chaos, each taking turns to bang the drum in the wig-wham or run up and down the hill of daffodils and see who could make it first to the stepping stone pyramid. After a couple of hours well spent lazing through the hills we finished up at the lake to feed the mighty ducks and fish and once at the end of our Discovery Walk we headed back to the café for and ice cream on the patio to ease the minor sun stroke that was about to hit us!!??

Ahhhhh, a perfect day for the perfect turn out, I was so thrilled that all these wonderful mums had travelled from near and far. I know how hard it can be to make the effort when you have to pack the bag with the right snacks and get the pram packed, get yourself looking alive and on top of it travel but I think the gorgeous location along with Jenny’s top Ad campaign for Day Trippin’ could not really of failed.

To everyone that came – I hope you felt thoroughly but happily zapped from all the fresh air, fun and sun. A great day out was had by all.
Lets do it all again and give the wildlife a run for its money!
